About
A five-time US National Champion and inductee in the US Ski Hall of Fame, Tommy’s successful race career on the US Ski Team lasted from 1987 until 1998. He competed in three Olympics: Albertville; Lillehammer; and Nagano. In Lillehammer Tommy became the first American male skier to win two medals at one Olympic Games; he won Downhill gold in by 4 hundreths of a second over Norwegian favorite Kjetill Aamodt, then scored a silver medal in the Super G, the gold lost by a heartbreaking .08 of a second.
After the Ski Team he spent the next 6 years on the Jeep King of the Mountain Tour. Tommy now co-owns the Tordrillo Lodge in Alaska and guides lodge guests on annual Kings and Corn trips.
